Confessions of a Chicken

 I'm a life coach.

I have learned a bunch of great tools for up-leveling your life, and I want to share those tools with you.  I can see how we cause so much of our own unnecessary suffering. There is already so much suffering in the world.  I want to help you get rid of the kind that isn't necessary.

But . . . . I have to confess . . .

Becoming a life coach and putting my work into the world has caused me to feel a lot of fear.

I don't implement the tools I teach perfectly in my own life.  I coach myself every day and do my best to apply what I know. But it's much easier to coach someone else, because I don't live in their brain. Sometimes I still need help. Did you know I have my own coach? I still need someone to show me where my own brain is tripping me up.

My brain likes to offer me thoughts like:

Why do you think you can help people? You really don't have it all together. That's really obvious to anyone who knows you.  People are going to think you are silly.  Just go back in the cave and eat some food and watch TV.  It's safer there.

So I'm training my brain to think some new thoughts:

I'm ok with feeling fear. What people think of me is none of my business.  This work helps me and I know there are people out there who need it too.  I can be a work in progress and still be a great coach.

When I was at coach training school, my teacher Brooke Castillo read us a letter on our last day.  I have it on the wall of my office.

You are a life coach.
You have the tools to genuinely help people.
Here's what that means.
Someone, right now needs your specific genius.
It is YOUR job to find them.
You must go looking and looking.
Your doubt, fear, and frustration doesn't only cost you now.
It costs all the people who would benefit from your brilliance.
Make your success nonnegotiable.
You have a gift . . . and a long hard journey to travel in order to deliver it.
The journey is worth it.
And the end of it your client is waiting.

So, my friend.  I'm looking for you.  I'm not going to let fear stop me.

Don't let fear stop you from accepting the tools I have for you.  Click here to schedule a free mini session.  You'll be glad you did.
